We have chosen the Scandinavian languages as a niche market and offer high quality translations into, from and between the Scandinavian languages Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish and Icelandic.
Polartekst is a Norwegian registered translation company. We are a digital company consisting of several linguists working from different locations around the world.
Polartekst is a company that is small enough to give our customers a personal service. You will receive your own contact person that will help you in the translation process and answer any questions or queries you might have.
At the same time, we have the capacity to scale up and handle larger projects with the help of our professional freelancers.
SERVICES
We translate from most European languages into all the Scandinavian langauges. In addition we translate from Arabic and several of the larger Asian languages.
We translate from all the Scandinavian languages into almost any other language. Please check with us if we can do your language combination.
We also have linguists specializing on translations between the different Scandinavian languages.
When we proofread we check your text for spelling and punctuation mistakes. We will rephrase any odd vocabulary and make sure the text has correct syntax.
If your text needs a complete rewamp we will edit it for you. This means we will help structure your text, rewrite where needed, and make sure spelling and punctuation is correct.
We also help you finnish off any machine translated text. We will check the translation and improve the translation where the machine has delivered poor solutions.
We have several writers in each of the Scandinavian languages and can write anything from your documentation to your blog posts.
We can write documentation and help files for you based on your raw material.

We are only looking for freelance translators / writers working with one or more of the Scandinavian languages. You either need to have an education in translation or linguistics and minimum 2 years’ work experience, or high competence in one or more fields combined with minimum 5 years work experience as a translator.
